Argentina. Ushuaia
We will pick you up at your hotel and drive you to Tierra Mayor Valley, 20 km. away from Ushuaia city. Then, we will start our trek from Nunatak Shelter where we are going to provide you rubber boots to cross humid areas. We will cross peat bog areas, streams and centenaries “lenga” (tall deciduous beech tree) and “cohiue” (evergreen beech tree) forests. We may be lucky to see foxes, condors and beavers. The Emerald Lagoon is located in the heart of the Fueguian Natural and Landscape Reserve. The color of its water, the surrounding landscape and its position, surrounded by the Fueguian Andes, are an invitation to stop for lunch on the shores of the lake. Finally, we will start our way back to the shelter, taking a different trail, and later to the hotel.
