Characterized by a nostalgic, old-world beauty, the city that is referred to as the “Paris of the South” boasts marvelous architectural jewels. We shall explore the elegant Recoleta and Retiro quarters with treed sidewalks, turn-of-the-century palaces and handsome apartment buildings. We shall visit the masterpieces that surround the sprawling Plaza San Martín, a Beaux Arts Palace built as residence for the Anchorena family; an imposing mansion inspired by the Louvre Palace, and a ground-breaking Art Deco skyscraper, a landmark that was at the time of construction, 1936, the highest concrete building in the world. The Museum of Decorative Arts decorated in eclectic style including neo-Classical; Circulo Militar, designed in Paris and built in Buenos Aires for the Paz family; the French Embassy and the Brazilian Embassy; San Martin palace —today the Foreign Affairs Ministry— among other beautiful buildings.

Our starting point is naturally Plaza de Mayo, where we observe the most conspicuous of Buenos Aires' Colonial buildings: the Cabildo, primitive town hall. We also admire the neoclassical Metropolitan Cathedral, and our Presidential Palace, known as the Pink House, with its peculiar asymmetrical façade. Finally, we trace the tracks of Monumentalism, visible in the Ministry of Economics building. Next, we walk across Avenida de Mayo, a tree-lined boulevard built in the late 19th century, when Paris was undisputedly the center of the world. Alongside the Avenue, many different-styled buildings were erected -Academicism, Borbonic, Italian, Neo-Baroque, Art-Nouveau and Art Deco, among other styles. Some of the buildings we'll be seeing in more details are, among others, La Prensa, nowadays the House of Culture; the Vera Palace; the traditional Hotel Castelar; and the monumental Barolo Palace, inspired on Dante's Divine Comedy. At the other end of the avenue lies the Congress, and the traditional El Molino tearoom. Next, we head for Puerto Madero, a cutting-edge urban renovation project initiated in 1991, located in the docks of a huge abandoned port district were recycled into upscale residential buildings, trendy restaurants and VIP nightclubs. On our way to Recoleta, we'll pass along the impressive Tribunales building, a patent example of the early 20th century Academicism style, built by French architect Norbert Maillard, the Colón Theater, one of the city's greatest attractions, and the Cervantes National Theater, a Renaissance building with Plateresque columns. Then, we'll visit Plaza San Martín, designed by French-Argentine landscape architect Charles Thays. Around the square lie some of the city's most conspicuous buildings: the former Palacio Paz, nowadays the Military Society, and the Kavanagh Building, South America's first skyscraper, among others. Once in Recoleta, we'll visit the namesake Cemetery, one of Buenos Aires' greatest attractions. Inaugurated in 1822, this true labyrinth of funeral monuments commissioned to some of the greatest artists of the last two centuries is the eternal home of the most conspicuous -and wealthy- figures in Argentine history, paradoxically including Eva Perón, who was a known enemy of the upper classes. Next to the Cemetery, we visit the Basílica de Nuestra Señora del Pilar, a Colonial church built in 1732 that is surprisingly well preserved. We then walk across Alvear Avenue, where we observe the sumptuous palaces built by the Argentine aristocracy to rival with Paris, such as the Ortiz Basualdo palace. After seeing the imposing Neoclassical mass of Buenos Aires Law School, on Figueroa Alcorta Avenue, we'll visit the peculiar Sanitation building, with its strange majolica façade, built in 1887. This strange French Renaissance palace was built entirely from detachable pieces.

ARGENTINE AND LATIN AMERICAN ARTISTS This tour will allow you to learn about the main tendencies in Argentine and Latin American art, visiting tree of the most exciting museums in town: the National Museum of Fine Arts, the Latin American Arts Museum and the Quinquela Martín Museum. The National Museum of Fine Arts (MNBA) houses a vast collection of 11,000 pieces, between canvases, sculptures, tapestry, engravings, drawings and objects, and possesses a small but precious European art collection, with works by Corot, Manet, Boudin, Cézanne, Renoir, Toulouse-Lautrec and Rodin. But this time we’ll pay special attention to the Argentine art section, which houses pieces by Morel, Pueyrredón, López, Sívori, De la Cárcova, Fader and Quiroz, among others. The modern, state-of-the-art Museum of Latin American Art in Buenos Aires (MALBA) was built by Córdoba based architects Gastón Atelman, Martin Fourcade and Alfredo Tapia. MALBA is a space devoted to the collection, conservation, study and divulgation of Latin American art from the early 20th century to the present. Some of the artists in permanent exhibition are Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, Antonio Berni, Pedro Figari, Xul Solar, Guillermo Kuitca, among others. Also, in the green corridor between the MNBA and the MALBA, we’ll be able to see many statues and monuments that grace our parks. Near the MALBA we can find the impressive Floralis Generica, a mechanical flower built in aluminum and steel, designed by Argentine architect Eduardo Catalano, which imitates the life cycle of a true flower, opening during the day and closing by night. Ending our visit, we travel to the working-class port district of La Boca, where we visit the Benito Quinquela Martín Museum. Donated by the artist himself in 1933, this museum hosts a great part of his work, which depicts the life of the neighborhood and its inhabitants.

In 1998, the Government of the City of Buenos Aires passed a law to protect and promote the city's Remarkable Cafés. In this tour, you'll have the chance to visit four of them, all of them located in traditional areas of the city, and to experience that typical Porteño habit of getting together at a coffee shop to talk for endless hours and honor friendship. Our journey starts at the neighborhood of Montserrat, near the Plaza de Mayo. A few blocks from there lay La Puerto Rico, founded in 1887 on Peru and Alsina and moved to its actual location in 1925. There used to gather writers and intellectuals such as Paul Groussac, Arturo Capdevila and Rafael Obligado. The establishment owes its name to its owner Gumersindo Cabedo's fascination for Puerto Rico, where he lived for some time. Next we visit London City, a coffee shop that became famous after being mentioned by Julio Cortázar in his novel Los Premios [The Prizes]. The café is located in the ground floor of a building built by E.A. Merry that used to be part of the annex of the traditional Gath y Chaves department store, in Buenos Aires' financial district. Then we travel to San Telmo, where we visit the Bar Dorrego, located on the corner of Defensa and Humberto Primo. From its tables, overlooking the traditional Plaza Dorrego, we'll soak in the Colonial atmosphere of this charming, historical neighborhood. Finally, we arrive to Almagro. On the corner of Rivadavia and Medrano we find the sumptuous Confitería Las Violetas, opened in 1884 with the presence of President Julio Argentino Roca. After being closed for three years, it reopened in 2001, completely and spectacularly refurbished. Writers such as Roberto Arlt and Alfonsina Storni were regulars. Just to imagine the kind of luxury we'll see there, here's a simple fact: the café has 80 square meters of splendid vitraux.

Historical Buenos Aires walking tours available: 1) Puerto Madero: The goal of this tour is to show how, like it has happened in many great capitals of the world, maybe in London more than in any other, an abandoned area can become the city’s most select neighborhood with an exclusive marina, and a modern cultural, hotel and restaurant district. Our visit kicks off at the Buquebús Ferry Terminal. Considering its old warehouse wasn’t recycled back in the 1990s, we’ll get a chance to see how the area looked before the renovations started. Next, we walk down Alicia Moreau de Justo Avenue, were we see the sharp contrast between the refurbished warehouses, of English industrial style, the state-of-the-art Inclán Building (designed by César Pelli), the Fortabat Tower and the Diario La Nación Building (both by the SEPRA buffet), and buildings from the early 20th century, such as the Central Post Office, the old Customs Building and the Ministry of Defense. Next, we visit the Sarmiento Frigate. This ship houses a museum, where we’ll see how a 19th century frigate actually operated. Then, we head for Madero Este crossing the Puente de la Mujer (Woman’s Bridge), designed by Spanish genius Santiago Calatrava. Once there, we’ll realize everything looks very modern. Nevertheless, we’ll be able to notice the contrast between the Faena + Universe, designed by Phillippe Starck, which used to be a silo, and the Los Molinos Building, designed by the McCormack buffet, which used to be a mill. Our visit ends back on the other side of the building, where we’ll admire once again the contrast between the renovated old and the modern buildings. 2) Retiro and Recoleta In the early 20th century, the Argentine aristocracy experienced an unprecedented prosperity; back then, Paris was the undisputed center of the world, and local aristocrats dreamed of competing with Paris, and of displaying their wealth on the city’s architecture, imitating the splendor of the French capital, in order to finally turn Buenos Aires into a global metropolis. Our starting point is the splendid Plaza San Martín, located in the heart of Buenos Aires. Around Plaza San Martín stand tall some of the city’s most conspicuous buildings. Some of them will allow us to imagine the splendid life the wealthier classes lived in the early 20th century: such is the case of the former Palacio Paz, which nowadays houses the Military Society, the Palacio Anchorena, that presently hosts the Ministry of Foreign Affaires, and the Palacio Haedo, which is used by the National Parks Administration. Then, we visit the monumental Retiro Railway Station, Academicist in style, opened in 1915. Although the design and materials came from Britain, it rivals in spirit with the traditional Parisian gares. Next, we walk across the elegant Arroyo Street –the word actually means ‘stream of water’, and it certainly honors the meandering course of this charming street. Besides its great architecture, Arroyo concentrates the most important art galleries in town. Finishing our tour, we walk down Alvear Avenue, a sort of smaller-scale Champs Elysées. There, we admire the sumptuous French-styled palaces, such as the Ortíz Basualdo Palace, nowadays the French Embassy, and the Pereda Palace, which now houses the Brazilian Embassy. 3) La Boca is arguably one of Buenos Aires’ most authentic neighborhoods. Away from the modernizing and internationalizing waves that have been shaking the city since the 1990s, this working class port district has been jealously guarding its identity, of which soccer and Tango are very important parts. The first that strikes the visitors about La Boca is its peculiar architecture. On one side, we find the typical houses made out of tin and scrape metal, painted with a wide array of colors. They were erected by immigrants, who used leftover materials and paint from the docks and nearby shipyards. On the other side, we see the famous tenement houses, were many families from the working class lived tightly crammed together. On of the neighborhood’s most recognizable icons is the Alberto J. Armando Stadium, nicknamed La Bombonera (The Chocolate Box), which is Boca Junior’s stadium, the country’s largest soccer team, and the one favored by Diego Maradona, probably one of the most famous people in the world. We also visit the emblematic Caminito Street, a true outdoor museum, dedicated to soccer and Tango. Finally, we enter the Quinquela Martín Museum, located in a building decorated and donated by the artist in 1933, to house an elementary school, an Argentine art museum and his own home and workshop. Here, we learn about his intense life and his strong social commitment.

The tour starts at the perimeter foundation of the city: Plaza de Mayo. We will visit the Casa Rosada, the Cabildo and the Catedral Metropolitana. Eva Perón is one of our country's most famous personalities, respected and admired all over the world because of her relentless efforts for the cause of the humble and underprivileged. In Argentina, nevertheless, her figure is rather controversial: loved by the working class, whom she generously aided during her brief but intense political career, and hated by the wealthier classes, with whom she had an ardent dispute, nonetheless she never arouses indifference. We'll depart from Retiro Railway Station, where a very young Eva Perón saw Buenos Aires for the first time. Then, we'll visit Plaza de Mayo, where we'll admire the famous balcony of the Pink House from where, already married to General Perón, she delivered her most famous speeches, addressed to the Argentine workers who idolized her. Next, we'll visit the former building of the Eva Perón Foundation, an institution created by Evita to promote social assistance all over the country. Then we visit the CGT (which links together all the unions in the country), where we'll learn about the peculiar alliances that were formed to bring Perón to the presidency. Next we see the Congress, and once in Recoleta, we'll walk across the Recoleta Cemetery, an enormous labyrinth of splendid funeral monuments, and a traditional stronghold of Argentine aristocracy, where we'll witness Evita's posthumous victory over the people who had unceasingly fought her when she was alive. Ending our tour, we'll travel to Palermo, where we'll visit the Evita Museum, inaugurated for the 50th anniversary of her death. (Important: Evita Museum closes on Mondays)

Early departure towards the town of Jesús María along National Route Nº 9 which nowadays coincides with the ancient route of the ‘Camino Real al Alto Perú’, visiting: Jesus Maria’s National Jesuit Museum, ranch purchased by the Jesuits in 1618. Anfiteatro de Doma y Folklore: the place where every January the ‘Festival Nacional de Doma y Folklore’ is held. Colonia Caroya: Town of Italian immigrants, famous for the production of sausages, canned food and confectionary. Caroya House: The place where the first factory of weapons (knives) in the country was established in 1815 and hosted guests as Gral. Belgrano and Gral. San Martín. Currently, it hosts a museum of handicrafts and colonization objects. Then, the Church and Jesuit Ranch Santa Catalina are visited. 15 kms to the South there is the town of Ascochinga, slightly undulating area with excessive vegetation. Visit to Sagrado Corazón de Jesús Chapel, heading the south we get to the ‘Granja’ where many German style villas can be found. 7 kms to the south we get to Agua de Oro, where a road takes us to the famous Candonga Chapel. It belonged to the Jesuits and dates back to 1730. The ‘Virgen Del Rosario’ is worshiped in its altar and it was decorated by the indigenous, it is a National Historic Monument. Finally, the tourist towns of Manzano, Salsipuedes and Río Ceballos will be visited from where you will return to Córdoba city.

This full day excursion in the steppe zone aims at all people who enjoy outdoor activities and adventure, ready to discover new places. The tour includes approximately 3 hours walking on discontinuous ground where wind and water were responsible for uncovering this place, which remained hidden for millions of years. Departure from El Calafate by Route 40, where we can see Argentino Lake, Santa Cruz and La Leona Rivers, a panoramic view of the majestic Andes mountains and Fitz Roy Mount. We will stop for about 15 minutes in La Leona hotel (historical site) and continue traveling along the southern shore of Viedma Lake to reach Cerro Los Hornos slopes (Estancia Santa Teresita). We will look for the first time the great depression of the land where the petrified logs are situated and will start our trekking exploration of fossils, which lasts about 3 hours, including the time for lunch. Throughout the walk we will see lots of petrified logs lying on the surface, some with a 1.2 meters diameter, testimony that during ancient times the climate was very different from today and allowed the existence of a full forest. There have also been uncovered fossils of different types of dinosaurs. This land is sheltered from the wind because it is a natural depression in the ground. This steppe area, therefore, is very dry and weather conditions are generally very nice. After the walk, we begin the journey back to El Calafate on the same path with another stop at La Leona hotel.

The Argentino Lake is the third biggest lake in South America. Surrounded by mountains and fed by giant glaciers, this lake astonishes with its immensity and special color. It was exactly that light blue color, the mountains covered in white and the light blue sky what motivated Francisco P. Moreno to name it “Argentino”. “Nativo Experience – Lakes and caves” is a 4x4 activity through the Argentino Lake’s shore, with an anthropological approach that tours man’s presence along the years in this region. The aim is to rediscover the first expeditions of the brave ones who dare to go into the unknown and how their first interaction with the natives was. Thus, among cliffs and views to the Andes Mountain Range, one personally feels the Tehuelche world along 20km. Stopping for taking pictures will help to go even deeper in typical flora and fauna details, as well as trying to understand the legacy left by those natives through their cave paintings. Imagination will be set free among chenques and awnings, immersed in thousands of years of history. On the lake’s shore, there are millennial caves where Tehuelche culture left its mark printed on the rocks to be read. After visiting them, participants finish the tour having lunch or dinner inside another big cave.

An entire experience that combines a 4x4 expedition, a photographic safari and the possibility of a moment of relaxation in an authentic Patagonian estancia “post”. Leaving from El Calafate, a short route takes us to the entrance to Estancia Huyliche; after passing through its main house, we enter "Estancia 25 de Mayo" natural reserve. The first stop is an old stone post where the first family of the ranch used to live and we will have a brief explanation about these first settlers and the beginnings of El Calafate. We continue the tour in the vehicle until reaching the "section", an authentic ranch located in the immensity of Patagonia, where we will make the second stop, to begin to spot native fauna. We make this third stop front of the exuberant fauna after leaving the vehicle and walking towards the herds of guanacos, with a fantastic interaction with nature. Later, we travel about 4 km in the vehicle until we reach a fossilized oyster deposit -which is 23 million years old-, and we will learn about the paleontology and geology of the place, discovering that the desert where we are was once covered by the sea. Immediately we continue the trail south to the Mirador del Centinela -hill of 1,500 meters above sea level- from where we get a stunning panoramic view of endless basalt walls. Here the fifth stop is made, where the moment of relaxation arrives to feel the wind and the Patagonian immensity. Finally, we return to the "section" where lunch or dinner is served in an authentic ranch post, before returning to El Calafate. The house has a spacious living room with a beautiful view of the 25 de Mayo hill.

La Trochita or Old Patagonian Express is a historic tourist train -with small trail, from which comes its name and founded in 1945- that allows you to make a journey into the past. Starting from the Esquel railway station, we travel 18 km to the Nahuel Pan station, the place of residence of an important Mapuche Tehuelche community. There, while the train makes the maneuvers for the return, you can visit the Nahuel Pan Museum that preserves the heritage of the original peoples and the House of Crafts, where pieces of silver, wood and textiles are exhibited all made by the population rural area that make a direct sale on this site.

Located 25 km away from Esquel, Trevelin is a peaceful Andean town with a marked presence of Welsh culture. The story begins with the arrival of the first settlers in 1985 and settled in the valley to develop productive activities mainly the wheat with the installation of the mills, thus taking the name that today characterizes Trevelin "Village of the Mill". History is kept alive in museums and stories. The beautiful valley also gave rise to different undertakings such as vineyards, Trout farms or Tulip plantations. We will visit the Nant & Fall Waterfall, the Nant Fach Flour Mill Museum and Nant & Fall vineyards. The tour ends in Trevellin, enjoying a typical Wales tea (optional).

65 km west from Mar del Plata lays the city of Balcarce, where we find Fangio Museum since five times FM1 Racing Car world champion was born and lived. On this tour we will pass through some of the most fertile land in Argentina interspersed with low mountains and beautiful farms in the valleys. The area is also rich in folklore as well as being the potato growing capital of Argentina. Cattle rising are another of the area's activities and we will see both historical and modern ranches. From the highway we can see the National Institute of Agriculture and Technology and the Earth Station for Satellite Communications. The native stone traditionally used in construction throughout the region is quarried in this area. We will visit Balcarce's principal attraction: the Fangio Museum. It was donated to the city by the grand champion. In this museum, specially designed by world famous architects, Mr. Fangio has gathered all of his trophies, cars and documents showing the history and development of car racing and the auto industry in our country. Other points of interest to be visited in this picturesque city are the Juan Manuel Fangio Racetrack, his parents' house and the garage where he started and developed his passion for auto racing.

Once we arrive at La Lorenza, we will hike a forest trail, rich in abundant plant and bird species, many of them endemic to the ecoregion. Throughout this interpretative walk, you will observe some natural processes that shape this forest in such dynamic and unique way. A typical house is the perfect place to be introduced to the local culture and to our nation al infusion: Mate. In front of a small wood fire and using our own h ands, we will prepare this popular beverage, starting from scratch with the plant. While sipping Mate, a local farmer will share its history, who discovered this sacred plant, the social codes that rule this tradition and why it is so important for Argentines. The visit ends on our private deck that overlooks the magnificent Paraná River. At this privileged spot, we will offer a local appetizer.

San Ignacio ruins were declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. In the heart of the rainforest, we can find the impressive remains of one of the 30 settlements developed in the land of the Guarani -between 1580 and 1767- by Jesuit priests of “Compañía de Jesus”, where almost 200 converted Guarani lived. An architectural ensemble that illustrates a significant period in the history of Argentina and Brazil, are a living testimony of the evangelization efforts of the Jesuits in South America. During the visit, the original design and details of daily life in a Mission will be explained. San Ignacio is 230 km away from the Iguazu Falls and 60 km from Posadas, capital of the province of Misiones. Pick up at the hotel early in the morning and on the way we will visit Wanda Mines, an open-pit deposit of semi-precious stones of quartz crystals, amethysts, agates and topaz, among the most important. Wand is located 40 km away from Posadas. We will arrive at the ruins of San Ignacio at noon to take the guided tour. Then we will have time for lunch (not included). The return to Iguazú is early in the afternoon, which allows you to see the main products of the region such as mate and tea plantations.

We visit a few Welsh settlement located in Rio Chubut Valley. Trelew was named after Lewis Jones, who was a pioneer in the Welsh settlement that started in 1865. Gaiman is a small village with less than 10,000 inhabitants who work mainly in farming activities. Gaiman's main attraction stands on both its high number of typical Welsh buildings and the historic and cultural events that take place in the village every year. Dolavon is also a small village, founded in 1915 and is known as the 'village of the waterwheels'. We also visit Rawson, the capital of the province of Chubut, and enjoy a traditional Welsh tea at Hosteria TyGyn.

We will visit the most emblematic points of San Lorenzo city, located 25 km north of Rosario: St Carlos` Convent Historical Museum (located at a Franciscan Convent of the 1791, Monday is closed), Fields of Glory - located in front of the convent of San Carlos over the ravines of Parana river, Is a four-block lot where was the battle of the San Martin General on 1813-, San Lorenzo`s Pine Museum area –a place that put together the Museum of Historical Trees and Sanmartinian Museum that tells the story of General San Martin and the local history.

Located on the opposite bank of the Paraná River, 75 km from Rosario in the southwest of Entre Ríos province; is also known as “the city of seven hills”. The most important attractions of the city are: The Godchild Abbey (Benedict monks), ecological preserve Monte de los Ombues, Parochial Temple, City Hall Palace, Carlos Añadon city museum and Victoria del Agua Aquatic and Hot springs Park, among others. Besides: the Civic Center, Matanza Hill, the Promenade and Ombues hill. Its sandy beaches offer the perfect balance between tranquility and entertainment.

The trip begins in the Lerma Valley until El Carril, continuing to Chicoana. We enter to the Quebrada de los Laureles (The Laurel’s Gorge) and soon to the Quebrada de Escoipe (Escoipe Gorge). We arrive to the Maray entering Cuesta del Obispo (The Bishop’s Cliff), road with abundant curves from where it is possible to enjoy a panoramic view of the Enchanted Valley and small houses with maize and fruit trees. At Piedra del Molino (The Mill’s Stone) we reach 3.384 meters above the sea level, the highest spot in our trip. Soon Los Cardones National Park is crossed by the straight line of Tin-Tin (ancient Inca’s road). Arriving to Cachi, a panoramic view of the Nevado de Cachi and Payogasta is observed. We go the town of Cachi where the Archaeological Museum and the Church are visited. We return to Salta through the same route.

Day 1: departure from Salta city towards south, through Route 68 along Lerma Valley whose points of interest are Chicoana, Quebrada del Escoipe, Cuesta del Obispo (road with abundant curves), Piedra del Molino (highest point of the route at 3384 m.s.), Los Cardones National Park and Tin-Tin straight. Arrival to Cachi at lunch time. The trip continues down Route 40 to admire mountainous landscapes with towns of great enchantment. Bordering the Calchaquí River, we can observe historical towns such as Seclantas, Molinos, Angastaco, San Carlos and Animana. By the end of the afternoon we arrive to Cafayate. Overnight. Day 2: after lunch we return to Salta through Quebrada de las Conchas (Shells’ ravine) visiting the peculiar rock formations caused by rain and wind, such as The Amphitheatre or The Devil´s Throat. We arrive to Salta after crossing the Lerma Valley.

The trip begins in Salta towards the Tastil Ruins arriving to San Antonio de los Cobres, after a two hours stop for lunch (OPTIONAL) and a short visit the town. We continue our trip along Route 40 crossing one of the most desert areas of our country. Soon, and already in the province of Jujuy, we arrive to Salinas Grandes (The Great Salt Flat), where the immensity of the area, the white shiny salt invites you to relax and take good shots. We continue down the Lipán Cliff arriving to Purmamarca: it is one of the typical towns of Humahuaca Gorge, it has the Seven Colors Hill and the small houses enchant. We return to Salta.

The journey leaves from Salta, but really begins once arrived to Purmamarca Village where time will be enough to observe the Seven Colored Hill, the Church and the Craft Market on the square, and a small walk along its narrow streets. We continue towards the town of Tilcara where we visit the Pucará (ancient ruins), the Archaeological Museum, and Huacalera, and then we cross the Capricorn Tropic, from where the colors of La Pollera del Coya Hill can be seen and really good pictures taken because of the daylight. We visit Uquía and its church, where the paintings of the Arcabuceros Angels (important vestige in the zone of the Cuzqueña School) are kept. Arrival to Humahuaca will be at noon, this town has an important Church and the Independence Monument (the Indian) of the sculptor Soto Avendaño. After lunch (not included) we’ll observe, from the route, La Paleta del Pintor (Paintor's palette) framing the town of Maimara. Return to Salta.

Early morning departure; first we visit Purmamarca and then Salinas Grandes (Salt Flat). The "salinas" have 212 km2 of extension -the same surface as the city of Buenos Aires- and are located in the Puna at 3,450 m.a.s.l. A white stretch of salt that contrasts with the blue of the sky. It is a unique natural environment with its traditional artisanal exploitation of salt. The return to Salta is by the same road as the one way.

Leaving Salta, we travel along the route parallel to the Train to the Cloud’s railway track, at Quebrada del Toro (Bull’s Gorge), where the scenery will change its dense vegetation till the first cardones will be seen, as well as several viaducts and bridges such as The Bull, Alisal and Chorrillo, getting to know places as El Candado, El Gólgota, Alfarcito, etc. All lonely yet beautiful mountain landscapes. Once at Santa Rosa de Tastil, we’ll be able to visit the village, the Archaeological Museum and the pre Inca ruins where ancient housing and streets can be clearly distinguish. We continue through Finca La Encrucijada, to ascend up Muñano Cliff till to Abra Blanca, at 4,080 m.a.s.l. when we arrive to San Antonio de Los Cobres.

BUS+TRAIN+BUS: the excursion begins at Salta train station, located 10 blocks away from the main square. Check-in begins at 5:45 am, since the first bus leaves at 6:15 am while the last one leaves at 7:00 am. We travel along National Route 51, making several photo stops such as Campo Quijano, Viaducto El Toro and El Alfarcito where we have a country breakfast. Then we continue to San Antonio de los Cobres train station: at 12 noon the train departs making its highest and most emblematic route, which is the engineering work of Maury Engineer known as “La Polvorilla Viaduct” (4220 m.a.s.l.). This route is crossed twice (round trip) and a 20-minute stop is made at a panoramic point where we can descend to take pictures; then continue the return to San Antonio de los Cobres, scheduled for 3:00 pm. Here we take again the buses up to the center of this town, where we will have 1 hour and a half to walk around and have lunch (meals not included). Finally, we board the bus to return by the same route to Salta, arriving at 8:00 pm.

A circuit through the downtown area of the city, adapted to the taste and interests of each passenger. We will visit 9 de Julio square and the historical buildings that surround it: Cathedral church, Cabildo and San Francisco church will be appreciated in minimal detail, as well as the particularities of life and the movement of Salta city in their day to day. The Supply Market is an interesting point for culinary art lovers and the High Mountain Museum (MAAM), for those interested in archeology. Tickets and transfers are included. We leave Humahuaca and we cross “Peña Blanca”, east border of the Humahuaca Gorge. Here we begin our adventure of “colorful towns and gorges”. After a few kilometers we meet the first towns. The overwhelming plains of the Coctaca Valley remind us of one of the main Inca agricultural sites. During the morning we walk this valley and take our lunch once in town. During the afternoon we go hiking for 2 and a half hour to watch the ancient paintings on rocks on Cerro Negro. From here we enjoy spectaculars view over the valley. After getting back in our vehicle we cross by different towns such as Valiaso and Pucará to climb the Serrania of Santa Barbara (Santa Barbara Hills) reaching 4,200 m.a.s.l. We end up the day at the viewpoint in Cerro Hornocal, with beautiful views over the Abra (huge prairie) de Zenta. We take a typical northwest tea time and get back to Tilcara. In a transition between the desert and the jungle and crossing through 4.000 mt, we find Valles de Altura (Height Valleys), where the ancient people were able to organize self-sufficiency food based on farming terraces built in the mountains foothills, and using the catchment water that comes from top of the hills. These ancient traditions are valid today and dazzle us with their story. Nestled amidst these mythical mountains is located Iruya village. We cross Quebrada de Humahuaca (Humahuaca ravine) to reach La Puna region and there we visit the historic town named Yavi, main church altar laminated in gold, Marques de Tojo House and Hydraulic Mill in Historic District. Then we run through the village of Yavi and climb to the formation of the 8 brothers to visit the petro glyphs in Laguna Colorada. Returning we know La Quiaca city.

Pozo Colorado is a beautiful place with a small village located in the East border of Salinas Grandes. Its 200 inhabitants (native community) base their production activity mainly in extracting salt and breeding the most famous animal in our province: “the llamas”. The native community is currently working to recover its cultural heritage: spinning and weaving llama wool; carving laja stones; manufacturing salt stones crafts; and, recently, along with Caravana de Llamas, using the llama as pack animal. During the car trip towards the town of Pozo Colorado we can enjoy the spectacular landscape of “Cuesta de Lipán”, observing vicuñas and guanacos (south American wild camelids). When we arrive to Pozo Colorado we prepare the llamas for the expedition and we begin the llama trekking that lasts about and hour and a half. We penetrate the salt surface, we visit the salt extraction spots and then we have lunch. After a well-deserved rest, we return to the community to end the journey. After traveling along Tafi del Valle we continue to the Infiernillo -the highest place of provincial routes, 3042 m.a.s.l- reaching Amaicha del Valle, where the only organized indigenous community in northern Argentina i found, the Cooperative of Artisans and main archaeological reserve of the country: the citadel of the Quilmes Indians, along with a local guide. This tour will make us remember different emotions. Back to San Miguel de Tucumán.

Jesuit site San Jose de Lules, Yungas road, Los Menhires and Tafi del Valle. We visite San Jose de Lules Jesuit Chapel and Convent where the chapel and cloister remain. Route 307 ascends to the Valleys. The road enters in Los Sosa River Gorge, part of the homonym Natural Reserve. The jungle dazzles and invites to stop. Continuing, we sighted the monument "El Indio". After that the entrance to the Valley of Tafi is simply shocking! Surrounding La Angostura Dam arrived at The Mollar to visit Los Menhires. Tafi del Valle is located at 2,000 m.a.s.l. Here the Jesuit set “La Banda” conserves, whose oldest section was built by the Jesuits in the first half of Century XVIII. Free time for lunch. We continue down route 307 to reach the viewpoint from which the best views of the valley are obtained. Back in Tucuman will visit Atahualpa Museum.

Every land has its own secrets but not everyone is chosen to know them: a lighthouse in a lonely cape, a mysterious sunken ship for 40 years and a distinguished antique “estancia” are some of the icons that reveal the unknown stories of Tierra del Fuego. Very early in the morning departure from Ushuaia following National Route 3 and crossing The Andes through the Garibaldi Pass. We stop by the little town of Tolhuin, heart of the island, to visit La Unión Bakery. This is a traditional meeting point for both, locals and visitors, and it is part of the charm of this village. By midday we come to the Provincial Route “A”, where we took a gravel road heading toward the Atlantic Ocean and the San Pablo Cape. At this point, we hiked up to an isolated mountain with an abandoned lighthouse at the end. Climbing to the top of this beacon we will appreciate “Desdemona”, an abandoned ship for almost 40 years ago which invites us to sail through time. It happened on a cold winter morning in1983 when this enormous craft ran aground on the shores of the Argentine Sea. After exploring this mysterious giant, we visit Estancia Rolito. This lovely ranch, that keeps the spirit of a family business based on sheep farming tradition, is the first ranch to open its gates to rural tourism.

Transfer to Colonia del Sacramento. 1 hour Walking tour of the cobblestoned Barrio Histórico, lined with Buildings from its time as a Portuguese settlement. This ancient Portuguese Town, declared World Heritage site by UNESCO witnessed great expansion battles in the XVII, XVIII and XIX Centuries between both Crowns of Spain and Portugal. Its historic preserved neighbourhood takes us back to colonial times in spite of expressing intense modern beauty under old-fashioned lines. The memorable walking tour takes you to the Calle de los Suspiros (Street of Sighs), the Holy Sacrament Church, the image of Saint Peter, the Ammunition Dump, the Lighthouse, The Museums – Portuguese, Spanish, Tiles, etc – (entrance is not included). Colonia holds a status of enormous exclusivity at the oriental (left) shore of the River Plate. Its boardwalk, as well as the Plaza de Toros and even the City Hall are filled with memories, delivering a unique and unforgettable stay in the middle of rioplatense history. Departure from the hotel to the east coast of the island to visit the Ahu Vaihu and Akahanga, temples composed of platforms or stone altars where assemblies of Pukaos and Moais are gathered. Continuing the trip we will go to Rano Raraku, volcanic crater formed of consolidated ash and containing a lagoon inside. The volcano has a historical relevance for the island, since on its slopes the Moais were carved, where 397 of these sculptures currently remain. Then we will visit the most amazing Ahu on the island, Ahu Tongariki which has 15 huge Moais. Although it is worth clarifying that it is the Ahu Te Pito Kura that has the largest statue erected in an Ahu: the Moai Paro, 10 meters high and 85 tons in weight. Next to Te Pito Kura is a large spherical stone that is identified as the navel of the world: Te Pito or Te Henua. Finally, we will end the day resting in Anakena which is the most popular beach on the island. In addition to its natural beauty, what makes it unique is a row of Moais that turn their backs on the sea. Without a doubt, a unique landscape that we will enjoy before returning to the hotel.

Drive up the extinct volcano Rano Kau, appreciate on the way a view over the whole island and see its distinct geological features, proceed to an outlook at the crater lake. Afterwards drive to the ceremonial village of Orongo, where the birdman competition took place and you can see the spectacular petroglyphs related to this culture, enjoy the breathtaking view towards the 3 islets Motu Nui, Motu Iti and Motu Kao Kao opposite the coast. Drive down again to Ahu Vinapu (not restored) and for some still proof of the influence of pre-inca arquitects in Easter Island culture. Last stop is the small fishermen’s harbour Hanga Piko, here we also visit the restored Ahu Riata.

Departure head to Frutillar, following the shores of the Llanquihue Lake passing by the village of Llanquihue, well-known for its sausage and cured meat production. Here the lake becomes the source of the Maullín River. Continue your journey across the Settler’s route until reaching Frutillar. This city was founded in 1856 as a shipping port for the settlers living next to the Llanquihue Lake. Here you will enjoy a superb view of the Osorno Volcano and the highly influenced German architecture of its houses. Visit the tribute to the German Settlers and the Museo Colonial Alemán (German Colonization Museum) that provides an excellent insight into the life of the German Settlers.

More than 300 years after the failed attempt of the Spanish colonization, the Government of Chile takes the unfinished dream of populating the Magallanes Region. Thus in 1843, the schooner Ancud saturates two kilometers from Port Famine (Puerto del Hambre) in PUNTA SANTA ANA, where Fort Bulnes is built based on logs of wood and grass huts, noble materials that helped establish the Chilean sovereignty in the Strait of Magellan. After six years of great hardships, the settlers realize that Punta Santa Ana had no conditions for a permanent human settlement, so they move northward in search of a friendlier climate. Thus, the city of Punta Arenas is set in the area called Sandy Point, leading to neglect and decay of Fort Bulnes. In January 1852 riots in the city of Punta Arenas Lieutenant Cambiazo in their flight to the south of the city; among other raids, fire facilities Fuerte Bulnes, which were completely destroyed. However, the story did justice to their importance, and between 1941 and 1943, it was rebuilt, it was declared a National Monument in 1968.

Departure from your hotel. We will visit the Pukará de Quitor fort located 2 kilometers north of San Pedro de Atacama. This fort dates from the 12th century and was built by the Atacameños to defend themselves from other peoples who lived in South America. It stands out for its steep terraces up to 80 meters high and its pre-Inca construction has walls organized in the form of circular or square terraces with privileged views of the valley of the Cordillera de la Sal. Then, we will visit the village of Tulor, the most sedentary archaeological site. ancient site in the north of Chile with more than 3,000 years of existence that is made up of 22 circular sites and other constructions made with mud blocks. Later we will visit Ayllu de Coyo where we will appreciate the beautiful flora and fauna of the north of this country. Return to your hotel.

To the south of San Pedro de Atacama we will find Toconao, our first stop, this village was built with stone Liparita, we will visit its square full of history with its bell tower constructed in 1750 of adobe and wood of cactus and the Church of San Lucas, both national monuments. In the Valley of Jere we will see the real wealth of the Toconares, a cannon that due to its microclimate and the waters that come down from the mountains, it enjoys fertility and turns the sector into one of the most green places of the desert, we will see orchards of fruit trees and varied flora. Finally will visit the Soncor sector of the great Salt Flat of Atacama, National Reserve de los Flamencos at Laguna Chaxa we shall enjoy the varied species of birds and the color of flamingos, the deep blue sky of Atacama, the heights of the andean volcanoes and the sunset will give us the farewell.

Departure from your hotel in San Pedro. The first stop will be in the town of Toconao, one of the most picturesque in the region, where you can appreciate an original architecture in liparite stone, with its old church from 1744, declared National Monument in 1951. You will be able to take a walk and meet the locals who work in fine woolen handicrafts. Next we will visit the "Salar de Atacama", which is part of the Los Flamencos National Reserve. Here you will enjoy spectacularly beautiful scenery where you will find a lagoon (Laguna Chaxa) divided into several bodies of water, where salt crusts are especially abundant and where communities of 3 types of flamingos are found: the James, the Andean and the Chilean. We will pass through the town of Socaire, where we will see its old church, before visiting the beautiful "Lagunas Altiplanicas", Miscanti and Miñiques, which are located at 4,500 m.a.s.l. Within spectacular landscapes, you will be able to appreciate varied shades of color in the mountains, as well as the unique flora and fauna, which are found only in these protected areas. The altitude allows you to be very close to mountains and volcanoes, some of which are sacred and have inspired beautiful legends of the Atacama Desert. After a stop for lunch in Socaire, return to your hotel in San Pedro.

Early morning departure from your hotel. We will travel around 43 miles to the El Tatio geothermal field, which in the "Kunza" language means "the grandfather who cries". We will arrive before dawn to enjoy the contrasts between the sunlight and the vapors that emerge from the earth. The geysers are located in the Andean mountain range at more than 4,300 m.a.s.l. (13,000 feet) and are the largest geothermal field in South America and the third largest in the world, with their "vents" of steam that can reach a height of 50 meters (164 feet) due to the heating of magma caused by mountain waters flowing through cracks in the earth's crust. After watching the sunrise, we will enjoy a local breakfast and have free time to explore the area. Return to your hotel.

This is a unique walking tour which gives visitors a feeling of the legends and stories that woven the narrow streets and old historical buildings of downtown Rio. The walk includes a visit to many interesting points, such as Sâo Bento Monastery, Calendarioa Church, Praça XV, Travessa do Mercado, Imperial Court, the cultural center located in the beautifully-restored Banco do Brazil, Casa Fraça, Ouvidor Street and Gonçcalves Dias Street with the traditional Confiteria Colombo. The walk continues to Uruguaiana Street, Carioca Square up to the Metropolitan Cathedral where you will board the transportation to go back your hotel.

An evening excursion to a rousing Brazilian Show of music, which can be experienced all year-round. The show is a display of the Brazilian rhythms and traditions. Located some 800 m.a.s.l., Petropolis “The Imperial City” is the state of Rio de Janeiro's most sought after mountain Resort City and fourth largest commercial center. It is chiefly a monument to Dom. Pedro II, emperor of Brazil from 1831 until his exile in 1889. Emperor Pedro I, who purchased land in the spectacular Serra do Mar for a projected summer palace, first envisioned Petropolis in the 1830's. However, it was his son Pedro II, who actually built the palace and the quaint town surrounding it. The idea was to maintain a refreshing refuge from Rio's wilting summer heat. The highway linking Rio and Petropolis is an engineering marvel. Its concrete bridges soar over green valleys and the road curves around mountain walls revealing exquisite views of the horizon. Afternoon city tour visiting the Koricancha Temple and the Cathedral. Continue to the surrounding ruins: the fortress Sacsayhuaman,Kenko, Puca-Pucara and Tambomachay ruins.

Early morning transfer to the train station (Vistadome service) for a full day tour to Machu Picchu, the Lost City of Inca civilization. After a three-and-a-half hour by Urubamba Valley arrival at Aguas Calientes station and continue with a 30 minute bus ride up to the top of the mountain, where is one of the most renowned examples Inca architecture, surrounded by lush vegetation. Guided tour of the most important sectors, streets, squares and temples. Buffet lunch at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge restaurant. Then return by bus to Aguas Calientes and there train back to Cusco.
